Family-Placed Death Notice

Mr. George F. Heatwole, of Peachtree City, died February 3, 2005 at 81 years of age. He was born April 24, 1923 in Winchester, VA. During WWII George served in the Army Medical Corp. George made his career in manufactured housing, eventually opening Mansion Homes in Robbins, NC. George was active in the community and President of several organizations. Upon retiring, Real Estate dealings kept him busy. He especially enjoyed people, pets, travel, golf, collecting antique banks and being at the beach. George was preceded in death by his four sisters. He is survived by wife, Mrs. Barbara Heatwole, Peachtree City, GA; daughters, Lynda Jane and husband, John Fields, Peachtree City, GA and Cynthia Della and husband, William Anderson, Ojai, CA; grandchildren, Elizabeth Fields, Aaron, Richie, and John Anderson; step children, Richard and Lisa Anne FitzGerald and three children, Tyrone, GA, Tim and Heidi FitzGerald and two children, Phoenix, AZ, Michael and Amy FitzGerald, and three children, Fayetteville, GA and Tom FitzGerald, Senoia, GA; nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be Sunday, February 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, 200 Robinson Rd., Peachtree City. Funeral Mass will be Monday, February 7th at Noon at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 215 Kirkley Rd.(off Hwy. 74), Tyrone, GA. Officiated by Father Victor Galier. Interment at Camp Memorial Cemetery, 1095 E. Hwy. 54, Fayetteville, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southwest Christian Hospice, 7225 Lester Rd., Union City, GA. Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City.
